Another movie I picked up at Dollar Tree. I will freely admit that I picked this up solely based on the cast. It stars Alec Baldwin, Kieran Culkin, Rory Culkin, Jill Hennesy, Timothy Hutton, Cynthia Nixon and Emma Roberts. I am a sucker for Alec Baldwin. If I ever had to pick my favorite of the Baldwins it would be him. Anyway, Lymelife is a 2008 Bartlett Films production. It is based on the true childhood of the director. It's for sure not your normal comedy. It centers around a town with secrets and Lyme disease. One of the mom's is ocd about her son going outside completely covered so he doesn't get bitten and that son's best friend is plagued by the disease after getting bit by a tick. Alec Baldwin plays a land developer and house builder who is having an affair with his business partner. When the secret gets out, it tears through the town and the two families invoved. If you aren't really paying attention to the movie, it will be hard to keep track of going on since there are about five different story lines going on at any given time during the movie. It's hilarious, but very dry humor. I give it a 3.5/4.
