After the bonus song, which was a teaser, I get to what's probably every guy's favorite song on the countdown. One of the best-known songs Allen Toussaint ever wrote, and one that had him set for life even if he'd never had another success. To the delight of men everywhere, here's today's entry.
#4: Whipped Cream

Album covers can make or break an act (see Smell the Glove in This Is Spinal Tap). This one probably helped sell a record or two: out of the six million copies that Whipped Cream and Other Delights sold, I wonder how many actually got opened and played, and how many just sat on teenage boys' dressers.
Here's a little trivia for you, speaking of that cover: the model (Dolores Erickson) was three months pregnant when those pictures were taken.
As with "A Certain Girl," Toussaint published this song under the name of his mother, Naomi Neville. The song was a hit for Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass and became permanently ingrained in American society thanks to its use on The Dating Game.
