If someone tells me a secret, then yes I can and do keep it because not to do so would mean a betrayal of their trust in me. That would certainly lose the love and respect the person has for me, and my friends are far too important to me. However if a person started to tell me about something illegal, then I would tell they had the choice of going to see the Police or I would but that would not be a betrayal of their secret because they would be aware of my intentions. Similarly if someone was doing something wrong and I found out, then I would tell them to own up to whatever it was or I would tell on them. It is about friendship, what we value in this live balanced with our moral values and respect for the law.

Normally I won't disclose another's secret, but if it has to do with someone getting hurt, then I will.

I have never shared my friend's secrets to other people. You may lose your friend's trust when he/she finds out. Friends are so hard to find, so I'd rather not take the risk.

Nope, I never share secrets, or betray trust. Its unfair and I wouldn't like it done to me.

When someone confides in me I never ever tell. That is why many of my friends respect me. Also I try not to judge them, but I do give them my opinion.
