Waterfall Walk at Bass Pro Shop

Yesterday, after therapy, I went to the local Bass Pro Shop. I didn’t need to buy anything (and if I did, that’s one of the last places I’d buy it from, thanks to their highly-overpriced merchandise), I just wanted to take a walk. We have a great Bass Pro Shop here. I’ve been in three, and this is my favorite. There’s a creek, stocked with fish (there’s a catfish in there that looks like he could swallow a great white shark whole and not even belch!), running through the middle of the ground floor. Better, there’s a shooting arcade on the second floor, set up in a jungle-like atmosphere. There’s also a creek there, and a waterfall. It’s all man-made, of course, but it has a soothing, relaxing quality to it to me. (Plus, in the summer it’s air conditioned and free of bugs!) Scientists have studied the soothing effect of water, and waterfalls in particular, on people. The best they can come up with by way of explanation is the presence of negative ions near moving water. I’ll let the scientists deal with trying to explain it. I’ll just enjoy the peaceful feeling I get around the water. Even an indoor, man-made one at Bass Pro Shop.
