I have been thinking about this. After clicking through all the notifications, I need to manually delete each one of them. It would be great if there was an "Delete All" button which will empty all the old notifications. Did you guys think about that?

I believe that this feature has already been suggested quite some time ago so it was clearly thought not to be of sufficient priority to be worth implementing.
You can easily rationalise and control what Notifications you see in the Settings/Notification Settings menu. It is not really relevant to the task of replying to those who respond or comment, for example, to see when someone 'likes' your post and you can turn those notifications off.
Personally (and I believe others do this too), I delete each notification as I have dealt with it. This is, perhaps, a little less easy if you are using a phone or tablet than it is on a PC, where one can open each discussion in a new tab and easily return to the one with the notifications list.
Even if you don't care to close each one as it is dealt with, your notifications are automatically deleted (whether you have dealt with them or not) after 7 days.

Yes, this can be added. But I prefer to delete as soon as I read it
