Mobiles have become such a common thing nowadays. In my childhood days, I don't remember seeing mobiles forget about using them. I didn't had mobile in my graduation college too. I was given mobile when had gone for my master's as was going away from home. Now times have changed, we see teenagers or small children using smartphones in schools and colleges. I personally believe there is no harm in giving mobiles to children but they should be taught it's use which needs to be done judiciously and in times of emergency. It's the duty of parents as well as of school to teach this to them. What you think should mobiles be allowed in schools or not?

The school of my kids allow students grade 7 and up to bring mobile phone in school but it will be in silent. In the corner near the teacher's table there are several small pockets and they all put their phones there. So if there will be emergency, the teacher can see it. They can get it when they are on break time. For the younger years, they are not allowed too but in some instances, they allow it but the teacher will have the phoned during class.

Absolutely. Not during class of course, but during lunch and study hall, I don't see why not. Cellphones were our main communication when we were having a lockdowns and we honestly had no idea what was going on. I wish cellphones were popular when there was a hostage situation at my school when I was kindergarten. Because parents, kids, teachers we were all over the place and honestly had no idea where we were going to end up and thankfully no one was killed but it was terrifying. Plus, sometimes kids need something in an emergency, maybe a new pair of pants because they spilled their lunch on them or maybe they forgot their homework at home and it is honestly the most embarrassing thing to call from the school phone.

Allowed or not allowed students are bringing it to school. Our child's school allows it but tells children to submit it to the office during classes.
