Nails: Salon vs. At Home?

Hello Ladies!
You are probably going to laugh, but I have never gone to a salon to have my nails done.
When I do have painted nails at home, the nail polish stays nice for maybe a day, atleast on my fingernails. My toenails stay nice for quite a while.
Should I live it up a little tonight and get those toenails painted (at home of course)?
Red, pink or blue?

I always go to salons for mani/pedis. My toesnails are blue and my fingernails are French. Go with blue! I bring my own tools, although most salons use disposable implements now. They wipe everything down twice for me, since they know I don’t like germs.

@Spontaneo Yikes! and ouch! I'd never return to him! In all the years I've been getting my nails done, I have never been cut at all.

I do not know what to do... Last week, I went to a podiatrist for the first time. I just knew he would jab me. But, people told me over and over, that he has been working for 10 years and knows what he is doing. I have small and delicate toes. Sure enough, he jabbed my big toe. I wanted to scream. His sharp clipper dug into my skin very hard. He was very arrogant. Now there is a huge lump there. I was simply an insurance payment to him.

I like red or pink. I rarely go to salon , I prefer to do my nails at home

I have gone to a salon once to get acrylic nails as a bridesmaid for a wedding and a nail school to get my nails done by aspiring nail techs.
I prefer to do my nails myself at home. It is more sanitary.
For toes I like red or pink!

I also love to have such services done at home; I can relax well although you have to add a certain amount for a home service.

I have been visiting salons for more than a decade. I used to do my nails myself when I was small. Now I prefer gel, it stays in a perfect condition for 1 month.
