Hi all, it's really hot here! It will get up to 40C for several days in a row. So I plan to freeze some bananas and make a milkshake.
I wait till the banana is pretty sweet, then I slice it and put it in the freezer (I try not to let the pieces touch or else I will get a lump that doesn't break up well.)
After it's frozen, I add frozen blueberries because I don't really like the super intense taste of bananas. Then I add milk (soy milk for me) and some vanilla, and if I want chocolate I will add a spoonful of cocoa powder. Blend it and it's ready! Too much milk makes it thinner, not much milk makes it more like ice cream.
Do you have any nice cold drinks that you love?

I love smoothies because the fruits are able to cover up the awful flavors of the veggies.
Speaking of Frozen Bananas, You can make dairy free ice cream out of them. they are called nice cream.
There are lots of recipes on Youtube.

I don't mind veggies but I don't want them in my ice cream! Last year I bought some "green juice" that was supposed to be really good for you. It was nasty, so I tried putting it in my banana milkshake. It was still nasty.

I eat a banana every day for breakfast. Apparently I'm low on potassium and it helps to have two bananas a day, so I start with one and eat one during the day. When I'm working, I eat it at the end of the school day to give me energy to get home. Also, if I eat it then, I'm not as tempted by all the good stuff I shouldn't buy in the grocery store.

wow, that is a great smoothie. i like it, but maybe if i am offered one like that, i should tell the one preparing to just put a little quantity of milk, since i have lactose intolerance.
