Taking a Risk to be Happy.. will you do it?

We all have risks to take, some very minor we do not even recognize them like taking a risk ordering from an unfamiliar menu... to either end up being comforted by the food or disappointed by taste... on a more serious level.. in our lives... When there is an opportunity before us that presents itself and we just have to risk our money, our time, even risk a relationship or whatever you can think of... When that time comes... will you take the risk? If you know that you got it... that it will make you happy? will you do it or will you just let is pass and not risk anything and wait for a more "secure" way to try to get what you think will make you happy in the end?

I will never risk my relationship. I promised myself that no matter what are the consequences or the trouble we have if I can make it better I will. And for some things, like money matters, we go for practicality.

Thanks Bhem for your reply I guess it all depends on what we will risk in our lives to be happy. A lot of people risks a lot these days for a better future too, like OFW risking their relationships to go abroad and get a good life. Thank you for sharing. =)

@JustBhem oh that is a lot of risk to go somewhere else and risk your job and risk being away from family even if there is that uncertainty about getting the job. I have seen this and heard stories about this and not all are success stories (sad to say). I sure hope your center gets to hire replacements already. =)

@chiyosan I agree with you. I remember, some of our nurses in the center leave and went abroad for the better. Only a few nurses we have here and lots of patients, it's a riot. They are taking the risk even if some of them are not sure if they can get a job right away.

Some risks re worth taking. Better to say, 'I can't believe that I did that!' rather than 'I wish I did that.'.

Wow! good response! :D thank you very much. I wish in all of the things I did... i have been thankful for a handful of them so far saying that I am glad I did it and it made me happy... Too bad there are also decisions that I wished I made.. but no point crying over spilled milk. I will just live life better from now on.

I suppose we are all taking risks all the time, it just depends on what types of risks we take. At this time of my life I am not as daring as I was, but still I accept challenges.

Thanks for sharing, maybe it comes with the experiences we have had and the years we lived. Younger ones tend to be more adventurous than those in their middle age. :D

Depending on how badly you want and need it. write the pros and cons, think and pray about it.

Thank you for your response. I suddenly remembered what I have to do just a month ago and it is all seemingly so distant. But it made me happy and I will recover the finances soon enough. I traveled and it was worth the risk.

I don't like a word risk. I preffer say responsibility. A happy person must be responsible. In order to be happy it is important to be responsible.
