Getting Away from Fat (for the meantime)

As I was rushing to cook my son's breakfast this morning, I remembered what our teacher taught us long ago on how to cook eggs without using oil.
Instead of the usual way of frying it using cooking oil, I poached it. Of course we can still boil the egg, but I decided to poach the eggs from the water left on the fan which I used to boil/steam the cooked ham. It is also healthful to avoid fats from time to time.
It tasted so good because of the ham's flavor . So I poached all the eggs for my family's breakfast!
Do you also experiment with your cooking?

So you are avoiding carbs? It's part of a Keto diet! It's nice your experiment turned out good.

@acelawrites I'm not on the KETO diet. A friend who is posted the recipe on Facebook and it looked good so I thought I'd try it. It might have been carb free but heavy on the fat.

I just used the excess water from boiling the ham because I do not want to wash the pan again, so I just poached the eggs there. It tasted good.

And it makes us happy too, knowing we had cooked a healthy meal!

Yes I do. I keep hearing that fats aren't that bad as long as it is the "good fats"

I agree, vegetable fats are not as dangerous as animal fats, so they say.

Yes, it is fun to amuse ourselves to remove the monotony of cooking.
