Sometimes I can't relate

Philippines
July 26, 2018 4:19am CST
I had lunch with the workers and we talked about how things were different decades ago. We reminisced how the whole neighborhood was nothing more than just a wide farm and houses were being assembled. Then it got awkward when they started to talk about farming. Because they shared their experience about mowing using a machinery and not a carabao. Well, their work was done for the day, all it needs now is some water proofing. But they can't do it today because of the weather.

If I am in your situation, I will listen attentively and learn something from them.

@hereandthere I always said to myself that I am not an all-knowing person. I still have a lot of things to learn with other people. It is how life works in this world.

I believe that the agricultural production tools of many years ago are very different from those of today.

The workers should also learn from you on how to farm using traditional methods; or the other way around, you can learn from them too.

Every since that commercial space was being built I have slowly learn from different construction workers and electricians a thing or two. Too bad I was not allowed to do the construction myself @acelawrites and didn't realize doing the concrete was that easy. But there's no way I can carry those bags.

Why couldnt you relate? Just wondering. I think most of us have this happen every once in a while. If its something I cant contribute to, I usually try to ask questions ti at least be part of the conversation.

Hello @maezee I think it was because they both had experience being a farmer back in their youth. I was born in a subdivision not in the province. But in the province we had a farm, but I didn't experience planting crops.
