Homeless man in Calfornia receives a lot of job offers after his story went viral

David Casarez, 26, made news recently when he was seen with a sign looking for work in the Silicon Valley region.
David who graduated from Texas A & M with a major in management information systems who went on to work at General Motors in Austin Texas as a web developer before he moved to Mountain View California to pursue his dream job in the Golden State.
The problem was that David spent all of his money trying to reach his dream job. He slept in his car.
This past Friday Jasmine Scofield attended to the needs of David asking for a job by getting his resume.
Jasmine placed his resume on Twitter where around 200 employers are requesting him to see if he can land his dream job in Silicon Valley.
If David fails to get his dream job in Silicon Valley, he will return home and admit that it was not in the cards.

I hope he is able to land his dream job. My compassion for him is somewhat dampened by the fact that his homelessness is a result of his own poor planning rather than an unfortunate happenstance. It is cynical to think so, perhaps, but it appears his homelessness was part of his plan to get attention.

I do give it to him that he found a way to market himself and he may be on his way to finding that job he is looking for. But for how long has he been homeless? There are so many people who are truly homeless that hold similar signs who most likely won't be given the same chance as he will.

Sometimes that is how you have to do it. I really wish society would stop dropping people to their knees this way, but it is what it is.
