How long can I store quail eggs befor they have to be incubated and where / how do I store them until I have enough to incubate?

I think in nature quails leave their eggs in the nest like that only every day after they lay the eggs to get them collected enough in number, before they can sit on them to incubate! That means you also should store these eggs at the room temperature in some soft material exposed to air, as they do in nature.I think this should be a logical and practical answer!

I'm not sure, probably within a few hours after it's been laid and for the incubator, maybe from 20-30 days
