Day 26
Mark 10:1
Mark 10:1 And he arose from thence, and came into the coasts of Judaea by the farther side of Jordan: and the people resort unto him again; and, as he was wont, he taught them again.
2 And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? Tempting him.
3 And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?
4 And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.
5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.
6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;
8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.
9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
10 And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter.
11 And he said unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, commits adultery against her.
12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she commits adultery.
Divorce has gotten so bad, people are skipping marriage and just living together.
The Pharisees thought they would tempt Jesus by asking him the question regarding divorce. Jesus’ answer, might surprise you. He told them, it was because of the hardness of their heart, God allowed divorce. However, it was God’s design that men and women marry and stay married, not file for divorce for any reason.
1 Corinthians 7:39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband lives; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
Jesus also said it was a man and a woman who married. There was never a question of the type of marriage allowed today between men and between women. It was between a man and a woman. Period.
As Christians, you are considered close minded and intolerable because you follow the biblical standard for marriage. However, nowhere in Scripture does it tell you to hate anyone, including those of the LGBT persuasion. The only thing Scripture tells you is to hate the sin. Not the sinner. It tells you to love everyone.
Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
Jesus also told the people that when they divorced and remarried, they committed adultery. God sees you as married to the first person you spoke your vows to, not anyone else. The only time you’re allowed to marry another person is after your spouse dies.
Matthew 5:27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looks on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:
32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causes her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced commits adultery.
Jesus literally told the Pharisees they committed adultery when they divorced and married someone else. It’s no wonder the Pharisees hated Jesus. He came against everything they amended to the Law of Moses.
God gave us guidelines in the Law of Moses for what he required regarding marriage. Jesus reiterated the law, not changing anything in it, and we are to obey the law, just as Jesus obeyed the law.
Times are changing, but God’s Word has never changed. It’s still the same as it was when God first gave us his Word, and we are to obey it, the same now, as then.
Let’s pray: Father, help me see people through your eyes, not as someone who is not worthy of your love because of their lifestyle, but help me love them, just as you love them. Help me be obedient to your laws, especially the law to love the Lord my God with all my heart, all my soul, and all my strength, and my neighbor as myself. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

Amen!!!
Its kinda scary that in the us about half or more than half of all marriages end in divorce. In other countries its way less...
So why the difference?
I think because to many marriage is a meaningless piece of paper and not a holy sacrament of god.

I've heard people say that, and they treat their marriages that way. When they're ready to move on, they just divorce. It's very sad, and bad for the kids. Have a blessed day.
