Anyone who knows me knows that I am a HUGE movie fan. I don't remember the first movie I ever saw but as much as I would like to think it was "Gone With The Wind" or "The Wizard of Oz"--they came out in 1939/1940 when I was 3-4 years old--I have no way of verifying either!
I remember running from school to see a movie at the RKO Pelham or the Globe theatre in my neighborhood or on Sundays if we didn't go to my mother's parents for dinner with all the aunts, uncles and cousins we would go to the Paradise Theatre, with its moving sky roof and then for a Chinese dinner.
I still think if I don't go to a Friday afternoon movie the world will come to an end though I know it won't--but why take a chance?
By the way, 'seeing' a movie on television, no matter how big the screen, is not the same as seeing it for the first time on the 70-80 foot movie screen with an audience.
How often do you GO to the movies?
PS I have been using moviepass having gotten a special deal for $89.95 for a year of movies without paying anymore. As of today I have seen 60 movies!!
The best movie I saw in July was the fun action film "Mission:Impossible--Fall out" with Tom Cruise who at 56 acts like a 30 year old and looks like a 40 year old while the funniest was "Uncle Drew" which is all cliches but will have you laughing and the most intriguing was "3 Accidental Strangers" about male triplets separated at birth and who meet 19 years later by accident not knowing about each other. It also is very shocking!

I do my movie watching now on the Internet. My movie-going time was way back in the 1970s when I lived in NYC. I remember going to see a movie and if I really liked it I could stay in the theater and watch it again with no problems.

Sorry seeing a 'movie' on a 26" screen is not seeing a movie!! I bet you don't react the same as you did in the movie theatre back in NYC!

@GreatMartin I have not been in a movie theater for ages. Right now I could not afford to go and I do not know any of the latest movies. I watch movies from the days of old on the Internet.

You don't find time to see movies but you can find time to watch them at home?

I too love movies. They really take me away from lifes troubles.
Although I only go to the cinema around once or twice a year, I do enjoy it when I go.
My son has a big 4K television that suffices for movies.
I must say movies are really the best.
Glad you are a great fan of them too.
