So same like title, some Mylot friends asking me about my previous post. What’s komodo dragon? Is it dangerous? What’s komodo eat? Where’s they now? I will explain more about komodo dragon in this post.
Komodo dragon is a species of lizard and found in Komodo Island which is in Indonesia. Komodo dragon is the largest living species of lizard, growing maximum length of 3 metres (10 feet) and some weighting up to 70 kilograms (150lb). They take 8-9 years to mature and (estimated) to live up to 30 years. Komodo dragon mating begins between May and August, and eggs are laid in September and takes 7-8 montsh to hatching.
Komodo dragons are dominate the ecosystems in komodo island. They hunting their prey, from birds, invertebrates, mammals … and if you in bad luck, you can become their prey too. So here is my warning: DO NOT COME HERE WHEN YOU IN PERIOD or when you HAVE CUT. They can smell blood really really far away. One bite and you gonna die.
So komodo island has beauty and beast inside. I will tell you about their pink beach in next post.

One thing to note is that Komodo dragons are technically not venomous. They do have toxic bacteria in their saliva, but unlike the beaded lizard or gila monster, the only two truly venomous lizards, they do not have fangs that inject venom into the body. Rather the bacteria in their saliva is highly toxic to human beings and many other animals. Especially don't mess with them when they are in feeding frenzy mode. There are tours of Komodo that are given by trained experts, but if you do one, you better do everything they say and don't try anything dangerous unless you want the day you go there to be your last.
