@1hopefulman exactly, getting to know the personality of a person first is almost guaranteed dating success....and that takes time and society needs to understand that thats ok, too often people date in a rush and end up getting themselves hurt

I don't think there are technically any rules for dating. It's more what you feel comfortable with. If you feel comfortable kissing them, then go for it, but if not, just politely tell them you'd like to wait to get to know them better first. The same applies with just about anything. It's all down to what falls within your personal comfort zone. I don't think making out on a first date is appropriate, but a quick good night kiss as you part might be acceptable. It also depends how long you've known the person. For example, you might do more on a first date with someone you've known a while as a friend and then become more than you would a total stranger. Personally, I think it's better to have someone as a friend before dating them anyway but maybe that's just me.

Fir me it is okay, well if the other person feels the same way then it is okay to kiss. But if only the guy wants it and insist on it then it is not good.
