Former U S Army Medic Rudy Pena who was a medic for the last 10 years after he was deployed to Iraq twice before he left the service received a special gift from his wife Stephanie and his children Aubrie, Trever and Adrien that brought to tears of happiness.
Pena who was diagnosed with cancer after he left the U S Army also suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder was presented by his relatives a service dog to be his best friend for life.
The cost of getting a service dog for our veterans is very high to purchase one. However Stephanie met a local breeder and trainer who learned about Rudy's need for a service dog made it easy for Stephanie to purchase an American Kennel Club (AKC) Labrador Retriever who is a puppy named Justice.
Rudy was overcome by tears of joy that Justice will be his best friend to assist him to overcome his depression and cancer from serving in Iraq.
Rudy and his family live in Amarillo Texas.
