One of famous souvenir from Yogyakarta is chocolate. Yes I know chocolate is nothing special but this chocolate is really special. It called as Cokelat Monggo, or in English we called it as Welcome Chocolate. It was 18 years ago when Cokelat Monggo produced in Yogyakarta, by Belgian man, named Thierry Detournay. This chocolate so famous because it done manually, from melting to tempering to packing. Mr Detournay and wife’s business for chocolate really booming because that’s first time Yogyakarta have really good chocolate. And now they employs about 160 chocolate factory workers in Kota Gede, Yogyakarta. Right now, there are more than 20 chocolate flavours. My favourite is durians and coffee flavours. While I always buy strawberry and banana flavours for my parent. They love those chocolate so much. Sometimes, in special occasions like Valentine Days, they make chocolate with heart shapes. Or Christmas Days, they make chocolate with Santa Claus or Reinderr shapes. But I never buy those because the flavor only chocolate not coffee hahaha ..

No. Monggo in Javanese means "please" in English. Totally no beans inside hehehe
