Why is society so focused on sex?

Hello my friends. Today I wanna chat about the fact that society is very sex driven and most jokes are sex jokes in stand up comedy. I am not claiming that this is necessarily a bad thing but it is a little too much sometimes. When people feed you the same stuff over and over again, you start to get bored of that.
Even when it comes to music and musicians performing on stage, there are many cases in which their movements simulate the sex act and their attire is also pretty revealing too. For example, I recently have seen Demi Lovato acting in a sexual manner on stage along with two dudes. Not that there is anything wrong with this but I don't understand why society is so desperate about this issue and is over-consuming it.
What is your opinion on this issue?

But this notion is over-used in my opinion and it kinda becomes boring to see it being repeated too many times.

@Cristi_Ichim Of course it's boring but who can change human nature like greed? It's a need.
