Do you allow your parents to make a decision for your self?

Good Morning there. Ever since I live with my grandmother, I'm the only one who already decides for myself.

Good day Frederick....my parents may give advices but final decision remains mine

Hello and A Blessed Sunday! I take into consideration what they like but my parents never impose on something to us. But they emphasize to us every now and then what they like.

Hi Fred! I am back again. How are you? Before I got married, I let them. I seek their advice. Now that I am married, their advice is highly needed but they dont dictate anymore.

I always took their advise and guidance. Thankfully they were supportive and never imposed their thoughts on us Now I am a parent and I want to support them and guide them and not to force.

I never had a choice way back then, if I don't follow what they want, they won't let me study. The result was I never landed my dream job and got sick. Now I'm a parent, I'll let him decide what he wants in terms of choosing the right course in college, choose who and when to marry. I'll support and guide him all the way since thats what parents should suppose to do.

Now it would be hard for any of them to give me advice, as they have been gone over 10 yrs, but back when my Mom was alive she often did offer advice, but it was up to me to decide what to do with it.

Parents are there for advising kids, then, they have to decide what they want to do with their life.

@simplfred My parents were not interested in anything I wanted to do or did. I made my own decision.

We can take advice my dear friend but final decision should be always ours because it's our life .

No, of course. And my parents have always been so smart that they made me responsible for any decision I make in life, as this is my life
