Hi mylotters. We people do throw waste outside our home. It's there at different places across India. In other countries, it's not a problem as people are more aware and heavy fines/punishment is levied if someone makes the place dirty by throwing things. The highest peak in India is Mt Everest wherein a lot of people go for climbing it. Every year there are many people who go solo or in groups to climb the Everest. Due to increase in the people visiting this place, over there too they have made it a dumping ground by throwing food items, water bottles or excreta too. Many organisations i.e. NGO's have assigned some people the responsibility to collect garbage from this place in order to clean it.

Every tourist should be responsible for the environment of tourist area or public places. People who litter should be ashamed.

You would think climbers would be responsible to pack trash back down the mountain.
