“Eat Breakfast Like a King, Lunch Like a Prince, and Dinner Like a Pauper”

Do you follow this saying? Well I'm very particular about this. I eat some nuts early in the morning, then noodles/bread a little later, a cup of tea and sprouts and leave for work. Lunch is bit lighter. Half cup rice, legumes and non-veg dish and night time I take only veggies and buttermilk. What about you? It would be very interesting to know the food habits of myLotters from all over the globe. Please feel free to share.

I eat whatever I want, whenever I want. Usually lunch and dinner are the biggest meal.

That's good. I have to follow a routine as I need to maintain weight as I have a tendency to gain weight. I wish I could eat as per my choice

@rollylolly I could care less if I gain weight. I usually work it off at work. So not much stays.

@thislittlepennyearns That's good to hear. I workout too but still fear that if I am not particular to my food habit I may end of gaining weight. You may say it's my phobia

Heard about this but I am practicing the opposite here. I eat light in Breakfast and eat ok at lunch and then when dinner time it is more relax. This is the only time that you spend time with family that is why the eating is more like a leisurely. I do not say it is more than but just enough to make you feel full.

@rollylolly Ok I know there is a risk of getting sick doing the opposite. But because we are in a hurry on our work and school breakfast is really not King like meal. Most are hurriedly done so we don't get late for school and work. Lunch time we spend mostly at work since we are busy the food you get is not that much because of stress. It is only during dinner time that we get to see each other and it is stress free so eating is really a bit much.

@rsa101 Yes I can understand your situation my friend. We sometimes have to choose our priorities but it's OK unless you are skipping food or not eating at all.

I use to do this my friend and usually dinner time we all sat together and had a sumptuous meal but when I had gastritis and some health issues I was forced to follow a routine. If its OK with you may continue but is always better not to skip meals and give a big gap.

I eat what I want when I want so it can vary quite a lot - just ate dry breakfast cereal for supper

I wish I could do that too. Actually my work routine and health issues due to erratic food habits made me follow a routine. But once a week I pamper myself and eat whatever I like

I follow this saying to great extent. I eat light dinner, and my other meals are heavy. I also eat snacks in between the meals.

That's really good to hear. More than that I'm happy to see you here again. It feels great to meet old friends. I truly missed all of you and esp. you bro. Coming back to the topic, I would say I was not much a follower of the saying until I had some health problems and I started to be strict with my food habits and I see good results indeed. After still due to my schedule there's big gaps in between my meals which is also not good. Good day

@rollylolly I am also happy that we are back again together. You should add some healthy snack in between..when you don't eat anything for long hours.. it gets noticed by our brain.... our body goes in starvation, and our metabolism slows down. This results in higher risk of obesity. If you do regular excercises, especially the HIIT that keeps your metabolism higher throughout the day, then it can help but if you are living more of a sedentary life ( like most of us do) then it's even more important to include some healthy snacks.

@rollylolly yes. Our system works slow when sleeping. So we should take care of it by giving it less work to do t night. You too have a good day

That's good. Eating healthy is always commendable but I would say don't skip meals or create big gaps. eat little but at intervals. That's what docs say now. Good day

This sentence is very reasonable. I've heard that, too. I usually eat very nutritious food in the morning. I try to eat less at night.

That's such a polite comment my dear friend. You can eat less at a time but better not skip the meals. I had tummy problems so I'm scared to starve and I also gain weight if I eat unnecessary fatty or sweet food. I indulge in them on weekends.

That's the spirit. I prefer to stay like that but my health doesn't permit me. If I go a little astray I suffer so I follow a routine for 6 days and indulge in eating what I love on Sundays. Thanks for dropping by my friend.
