To whom are you much closer? / myLot

Are you much closer to your mom or dad? Girls understandably are much closer to their moms because they have a lot of commonalities and so are boys to their dads. but there are cases that first-born daughters hate their moms and so do first-born sons hate their fathers. how true is this to you?

I do not know, I heard many girls are actually closer to their dad because they want to rebel and not end up like their mom. While boys actually like their moms better. I guess that is for a stable family. I never knew my dad and my mom was not my favorite person for a long time. I really have no say because pretty sure it just depends the type of person you are. A girly girl will probably like their moms better, while more of a Tom Boy will like their dad. Guys usually have to have a one of a kind of a dad to like more than their mom period, from my friends at least. I guess I have some say.

Exactly. Most of the girls treat their mother as an enemy in their teens. But once they become a mother, they will be closer to mother too. (By that time they understood the hardship of motherhood). Then boys, can't trust them, normally they are closer to mother but change their colour after marriage.

Very true, but trust me that goes both ways. My closest friends lovely ladies were very lovely until they got married to me as a friend.. Then all of a sudden, I am the devil. I am not sure if it becomes real or something, but can see why husbands hate mother in laws. Its hard to be a friends with women who married my friends

i agree with you. i was close with my mom before but later we fought a lot specially when i got older. now, i like my dad more, but all the same, we fight a lot lool

I am the only daughter of four children and I never had a close relationship with my mother. (I was the second born)

@dya80dya When I was little I had a closer relationship with my dad, but we grew distant with each other later. My brothers were close with both parents.
