It is interesting to know that a special administration region and a region equivalent to a small country has a state of the art university like the University of Hong Kong who conduct high quality research and academics.

You did not mentioned the source of information; but I got it, it is by QS World University Rankings published by Quacquarelli Symonds, a specialising British education company which also publishes the International Student Survey (ISS).
