The heavy rains in Hagerstown Maryland may have caused a sinkhole to form overnight as a border collie named Sofia went out for a walk near the home of the neighbor of Rebecca Shultz when the dog fell into the sinkhole on Saturday.
Hagerstown Firefighter Roger Otzelberger were the firefighter who with the assistance of his fellow firefighters used a pulley and a rope so Sofia could be rescued and returned to Rebecca who will return the dog to her owner.
Sofia is in good spirits after her adventure in the sinkhole on Saturday. The city officials of Hagerstown will take care of fixing the sinkhole as soon as they can.

I was just reading a story of a overweight collie mix who feel into a muddy pit filled with water and had to be rescued. It was a big production with several people involved.

Firemen do not the admiration that they deserve.

That is true since it was very hard for the firefighter to rescue the dog without using the proper equipment.
