Have a nice day myLotters. I am referring to the weather. Tomorrow is holiday in my country so we decided to have a visit in my parents’ grave. It’s another year after my mother’s passing. It falls on the 28th but we’ll make it a day earlier because of the occasion. It's far a distance from home and I hope that it won’t rain this evening or tomorrow. It would be nicer if the weather is good. Is it your tradition to visit the grave of your departed love ones during death’s anniversary?

that is a tradition of many of us Filipinos; lighting candles too is part of that practice

Yes it is. My siblings are the in-charge of the candles and me for the flowers.

when we visited our father last june we couldn't stay long because it started drizzling. however, in your case, if it's quite far, maybe the weather will be different when you get there. just bring umbrellas, put your stuff in waterproof bags and wear your preferred "rain shoes"

I appreciate the advice. It's an additional belongings but it would be very helpful when the situation arises.

@hereandthere I thought we can't make it there today. At 7 in the morning, the rain started to drizzle. We thought it would progress but thankfully it didn't. We're back home before lunch.

Thank you very much. We're expecting a good weather since it's raining two consecutive days until yesterday. It's not raining up this hour and I hope until tomorrow.

In the 1980s I saw so many deaths due to AIDS and now I am surrounded by old people dying that I have eliminated rituals surrounding deaths in my life and just remember, with love, that are gone.
