What do you do when someone who has been very mean and degrading to you end up begging a job from you? I know it sounds cliche and something that you would read on the internet, but apparently it happens in real life. There is this woman, my husband's ex girlfriend, who has no qualms or filter about spreading lies about us, even though she has never met me nor have any idea of what I am like. Not really interested in getting down and dirty with her, we just let her be and did not do anything to her back. A few months later, I found out that she is applying for a job that I requested to fill in that is left by one of my staffs. Imagine my surprise when I saw her application. I have also learned that she has been trying to get a job at our company and has by far turned in 30+ applications but she has been denied every time because the positions she applied for no way measures to the minimum requirements of the job and what she has to offer. I decided, on the interview day, to just do my job. I know already that there are other qualified applicants but I would give her a chance if our HR thinks we should see and still interview her in light of having other more qualified applicants.
