A touch of Agoraphobia

August 27, 2018 2:04am CST
As an introvert, do you sometimes just want to NOT leave your home? Sometimes I have to congratulate myself on just getting out of my bedroom. My bed is too cozy, my comforter too comforting, my pillow is perfectly accomodating, but the call of nature beckons and meals don't magically make themselves. While my home isn't great by any means, I've made it very pleasing for me to reside in. If I don't have to leave, I don't. I just wish I had more days to loaf around. I also wish that wasn't such a big deal. If house arrest was a competition, I'm pretty certain I'd win.

@AntiSocialite Most helpless moment is that you are damn sleepy and sleeping and in middle of sleep, you feel a terrible urge to pee.. I had never felt so helpless except those times..

I feel like large crowds sap my energy. I feel so drained for days afterward.

As I getting I find myself wanting to not go inside the house more and more but that is due to an increasing horrible outside world to contend with.

I seem to find a multiple of excuses for not stepping out. It might be a spider web across my walkway, bad weather, mismatched socks but people are my top reason because of the worst anticipated outcome.

its the same case with me.. i prefer to be at home, in my room most of the times. to the point im having a hard time make excuses on how to reject invitations from my friends to go out. so maybe we will see each other on that house arrest competition! haha

Haha! Fingers crossed on someone making it a sport! When a friend invites me to lunch I always secretly hope they cancel. I'd like to see them and I like food and I'm always happy someone thought to invite me but I'm even more glad when they cancel.

Yes I can stay all day all night at home. Even if there is no wifi or cable. I can clean the house, cook and wash dishes all day.
