Quick Review: Golden Flake Buffalo Ranch Potato Chips

These are some of my favorite potato chips, and this is coming from someone who doesn't usually buy potato chips.
These are a somewhat local product. Golden Flake Snack Foods is located in Birmingham, Alabama so I am not actually sure if you can buy these in other places of the states. I didn't know what Golden Flake chips were until the other half and I met and we started buying them.
These do have a kick, but nothing too overpowering. They taste like buffalo sauce, but not one that is too overpowering. There is actual flavor as opposed to just being overwhelming hotness. You can taste the "ranch" at the end of the flavor ride. It kind of cools it down a little. Nice if you like your snacks a little tangier or zippy-er than just regular old Lays.
They are calorie heavy, then again they are chips so of course they are. 20 chips will cost you a hundred and fifty calories, and 9 grams of fat.
So If you are a fan of zip in your chip, these might be something you would like. I don't get them often, but when I do I have to be careful not to eat the whole bag in one sitting.
Buffalo Ranch flavor at its finest! Just the right amount of heat, smoothed out with that creamy ranch flavor! We are not just winging it!

They sound good, except for the heat part! lol Can't deal with the heat, every time I try to eat something spicy , I break out with a sweat and my lips tingle.

So they don't sound good. Since they area spicy chip, you wouldn't be able to eat them.

@thislittlepennyearns No, the flavor sounds good to me, it's just that I can't deal with the heat. I love ranch flavored chips and the sauce sounds like it would give it that little added taste, just wish the heat part weren't there.

They are big down here. Them and Zapps I think Is the other one.

I like Golden Flake chips, maybe even more so than Lay's chips. And you may be right, Golden Flake may not be available outside the south.
