Philippines Long Christmas Celebration

Marikina, Philippines
September 1, 2018 6:53am CST
It's the first day of September and here in the Philippines, we are starting to celebrate Christmas by starting the get-together parties, listening to Christmas song from our famous artist Jose Marie Chan (especially the song "Christmas in our hearts"), Christmas shopping for gifts, making Christmas lanterns, early morning worship service for Born-again Christians, while Roman Catholic has nine early morning mass, we are starting to build our Christmas tree and house decorations. On Christmas week, most of us are starting to have family bonding until the new years day. How do you celebrate Christmas and how long do you celebrate it?

@mrsbsantiago We have celebration in Dec for about a week. In India, festive season starts from September and ends with Christmas and New year. We have a lot of one day festivals in coming months.

Oh yes this day is the start of the “ber” months indeed. I am just waiting for the climate to cool down. When that happens then it is truly Christmas time already.

True story. Went to shop for groceries yesterday and like clockwork, the mall was playing Christmas carols.

@mrsbsantiago I'd start celebrating right now too, but I think people would be throwing something at me for starting so early.

This is absolutely off-putting for me. I don't want to see or hear anything about Christmas before mid-December.
