The Returned Gift

Do you ever take a gift you received for Christmas back to the store. Like things you have gotten that you know you won't use.
My son and I was talking about Christmas this morning and he was telling me about his son receiving the same toy as a gift from three different people. When I ask if he took two of them back , busted out laughing and said "No, I'm not like someone I know that took the tape back that I gave them" We both had a good laugh about that.
Yeas ago I received a Vince Gill CD from my son, he knew I was a big fan of Vince Gill's. I had always loved the song Go Rest High ON That Mountain written & sang by Vince Gill, so this is the reason my son got the CD for me. The trouble was, the CD was a Christmas tape and didn't have the song on it. So after Christmas, I just went and exchanged it for another Vince Gill CD. This is something my son always teases me about when it comes to Christmas gifts.
We did have a good laugh again when I told him, I took it back because it was a Christmas CD, and he replied back " I only got it because that's all they had" So we busted out laughing again.

I haven't returned anything that was given to me at the store. Why, because we can't get a refund for that. Nobody includes a gift receipt when they give presents here.
So I just keep them as a reminder of someone's sweet thoughts..

Most places here will take items back after Christmas, even without a receipt. Some stores just put your refund on their store card for the same amount. When I took the CD back it was years ago, I took it back to Walmart, this was when the store would take just about anything back anytime of the year. If you didn't have a receipt you just didn't get cash, you got a card.

@toniganzon Oh no, you can exchange things here way after 7 days. A lot of places give you sometimes, 30 days or more, depending on want it is and the reason you are bringing it back.

and most stores don't accept returns but an exchange however there's a period to do that. Must be exchanged within 7 days from the date of purchase.

I've returned clothing over the years that didn't fit. My family usually knows not to buy me clothes, I'm just really hard to fit.
