My Connection to a Famous UFO Story

I grew up in Roswell, New Mexico. My mother did too.
Mom was only 8 years old in 1947, when the well-known UFO incident happened. She told my siblings and me that she actually saw the unusual aircraft!
On that July 6th, she and a few other kids were sitting in a tree in their mutual friend's backyard. They saw something strange fly over their heads. It frightened them, so they ran in the house to tell the adults.
They were told to that they had overactive imaginations. But their story was proven true a couple of days later, when the local newspaper and radio were buzzing about the bizarre wreckage that was found on a ranch outside of town.
When I was growing up in Roswell in the 60's and 70's, the UFO story was rarely mentioned. But after the movie "Roswell" was released in 1994, followed by numerous documentaries, books, etc, the town became well-known all over the USA and beyond.
Roswell now hosts an annual UFO Festival which draws thousands of people from all over the world.
Is there something out there? That's a question people have been asking now for 70 years after a UFO was reported crashing in Roswell, New Mexico. UFO expert...

I read your blog. Interesting story, no matter what it was that your mother saw.

@1hopefulman Honestly I have not formed a solid opinion. I think that extra-terrestrial life forms might exist, but I'm not convinced.
There are many wide-open desert areas in New Mexico, where it is likely that the government was testing experimental aircraft. I lean toward that theory.
What do you think? I'm curious to know your thoughts about it!

Thanks very much @1hopefulman. Many people thought it was an experimental "weather balloon" that the government was testing. That's a rumor I heard many times.

@BloggerDi I guess this is one of a true testament that can be considered legit. I am trying to find answers sometimes on YouTube, but not sure if they are true though.

@Shavkat I agree that everything on YouTube is certainly not true. Also, some people might want to tell of their real experiences, while others are willing to lie for a few minutes of publicity.

Well, someone must know the truth about what happened. But those people might not be living now. Thanks for your comment @Shavkat.

Bob Lazar was part of that project later and had almost seen it all. They even try to erase his identity. So, of course aliens area real but most people remains skeptical to this day.

Thank you @db20747, Some of them might have. I'm not sure.
My mother told me about her experience when I was a young teenager (many years ago). Mom passed 20 years ago. But you can look up YouTube video and other info about eye-witnesses of the Roswell UFO incident.

It's always interesting how people remember things. Some memories are accurate. Some change over time and telling.
