If there is one good thing of having to deal with delays at an airport due to a weather related problem in North Texas, it is that it will give pizza delivery companies some extra business to feed the hungry passengers.
An American Airlines flight that was traveling from Los Angeles to Dallas Fort Worth Texas was diverted to Wichita Falls Texas due to severe rainstorms in the Dallas Fort Worth area had to deal with 159 passengers who were going to be stranded in Wichita Falls on Thursday evening.
Captain Jeff Raines and his crew decided to assist the passengers pain of having to stay overnight in Wichita Falls by placing an order for 40 pizzas from Papa John's Pizza.
Captain Raines and her crew went to the delivery auto to personally take the 40 pizzas and hand them to the passengers inside the airplane.
Josh Raines who is an employee at the Wichita Falls Airport filmed the act of kindness on his video camera to be placed on Facebook.
The airplane then left Wichita Falls on Friday morning to have a safe landing in Dallas Fort Worth Airport.
I guess the airlines are playing it safe when dealing with severe thunderstorms since it is not worth flying an airplane in a thunderstorm after that tragic plane crash that happened in the Dallas Fort Worth airport when a Delta Airlines airplane crashed during a thunderstorm in 1985.

That was really a nice gesture by the flight crew.

That was a great act of kindness that you don't see from a lot of airlines these days. I wonder if the crew had to pay for the pizzas themselves.
