People used to worship Sri Ganesha before starting any important work. In today's time, this festival gains much importance in Maharashtra and surrounding state.
People used to worship Lord Ganesha (Vigneshwar)in the celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi. Ganesha is the most followed god in Hinduism and admired by every member of the family. This is the most important festival in Hinduism. People worship God of knowledge and prosperity on Ganesh Chaturthi with full devotion and faith.
