Frugal Shopping: Walgreens 9/11 / myLot

Yesterday before work I went into Walgreens to check their clearance out. It's rare that I buy much from there other than snacks or drinks, but I do like to check out the clearance. I actually lucked out because they had put the summer and back to school stuff on clearance and I got some really good deals. I saved 58%! So I am pretty proud of myself. I bought two of the Lick a Bubbles, and gave one to a co-worker who wanted one for her grandkids. I spent $21.61 after a $27.70 savings and got the following: -Anchor Shaped Bottle Opener (I had thought this was originally 9.99 but I was wrong) $4.99 reg price clearanced to $0.49 -Pilot G2 Navy Blue Pen $1.99 regular price clearanced to $0.59 -Pilot G2 Green Pen $1.99 regular price clearanced to $0.59 -Pilot G2 Purple Pen $1.99 regular price clearanced to $0.59 -Marvel Squirter toy 2 Pack (Captain American and Black Panther) $3.99 clearanced to $0.39 -Wexford green highlighter regular price $0.50 clearanced to $0.15 -Wexford blue highlighter regular price $0.50 clearanced to $0.15 -Lick a Bubble edible bubble solution and bubble blower regular price $6.99 clearanced to $0.69 -Lick a Bubble edible bubble solution and bubble blower regular price $6.99 clearanced to $0.69 -Wexford composition book regular price $1.49 clearanced to $0.44 -Wexford compositon book regular price $1.49 clearanced to $0.44 The only thing I bought that wasn't on clearance was a backup battery charger for my phone. I chose the one I did because I can hook it to my purse. -MyCharge simple power backup battery $14.99 I LOVE Walgreens seasonal clearance. The buuble blower that I kept will be going in the care package along with the magic grow towels that I bought at work today. This was one of my favorite clearance hauls that I have done in a long time! I got such good deals. I am especially excited about the bottle opener and Marvel deals that I got. Have you ever scored anything good at Walgreens on clearance?

That's really nice! Being frugal does counts. I am also frugal myself and i also keep coupons in case I might need them in the future. Also, season clearance here in the Philippines works differently. Sometimes it is a marketing strategy. They will put some items in their racks and pretend that it cost, say Php200, and then they will mark it down at 50% but the original price of that item is Php100 to begin with. So when it comes to season clearance sale, I still need to think twice when I buy an item, and if I really need it then that is the time that I would buy it. Happy shopping. Go!
