Tomorrows Wedding Venue The Zebu Tall Ship

Tomorrow two of my lovely friends are getting married dressed as pirates on the deck of The Zebu tall ship, in its permanent mooring at Liverpool's Albert Dock. I'm going along in pirate garb to watch. The ship was Swedish in origin, built in 1938 and used to transport paper, iron, wood and other cargoes around the Baltic. She was a cargo ship up to 1960. In the 1970's she was used by Operation Raleigh, training young mariners in seafaring and navigation, with some voyages taking her right round the World. Soon afterwards she was put on display in Liverpool, but with no one on board, she fell into disrepair and partly sank and some restoration work is planned now that she has been refloated. Her decks are used for pirate displays and art events and as tomorrow, a wedding and a pirate parade. I look forward to seeing my friends and this beautiful ship too.
