One of the most popular fast foods around the world is Dunkin Donuts. They are best known for their donut but they want to have a change of image. They will now change their name into "Dunkin" Their reason, they sell more than donuts, They will still sell donuts but they have Sandwiches and other stuff now. Also they want to be known more as a coffee shop that can beat starbucks. They want to be known more for their coffee. I wanna know what is your opinion to the name change? Dunkin yup Just Dunkin does the new name appeal to you?

they are becoming more like starbucks from the sound of it, why dont they just keep doing what seperates them from starbucks instead of becoming like them? all they have to do is keep adding choices that people want, not choices that starbucks has. they may as well call themselves stardunkin.

Yeah they are known for serving the cop's favorite snack, Trying to be an expensive coffee shop is just weird. They will lose their mass appeal.

they are trying to change their image. They want to be seen as a coffee shops instead of a fast food. Still not healthy though. Diabetes overload!

Well they might be correct that they are not only selling donuts only anymore. I think they have not removed the dunkin which is easy recall for many. Although Dunkin Donuts is also very easy to recall but most people when asked where he buys they would usually say Dunkin and it is already coined to Dunkin Donuts already.

@rsa101 I think their sandwiches started in the mid 90's. My sister's ex boyfriend use to gift the whole family with Dunkin donuts bunwiches.

I am sort of sad about this. My first job ever was at Dunkin Donuts and I want it to remain Dunkin Donuts for my own sentimental reasons.

I heard that..I guess they want to concentrate on their coffee and tea enterprise. Their donuts are sometimes good and sometimes not. I haven't been that impressed with them recently..because they take filling away and then add it again, and charge a higher price.

They are cheaper in South East Asia, When I still live in the Philippines, A dollar is like 3 pieces donuts. My favorite Filipino flavors though are not in Canada. I want my Purple yam, Mocha cream, and choco wacco back.

I have not heard that yet here in our country.I think they do not need to do that. People are already used to them

They announced it on their official twitter. I think it will be a slow transition outside the us.
