Have you ever forgotten your memorable information?

Memorable information is supposed to be memorable, but sometimes it just plain isn't! I needed to change my password for the "single sign-on" at the University where I work part-time. There is a system for doing this, but it begins by checking your identity via the common method of asking you for answers to the memorable information that you posted when you first signed on to the system. My problem is that this was years ago, and what was memorable then is long forgotten - by me at least! I was asked to quote a date that was important to me other than my date of birth. I tried everything I could think of - wife's date of birth, marriage date, date of son's birth - none of them worked. So I had no choice but to call the IT helpdesk and get them to do the job for me, which they did. The guy told me that this was a regular occurrence - unless he was just being kind to this old guy with a terrible memory! Please tell me that I am not alone with this little problem!

Albert also said that the only thing you need to remember is the location of the library - a sentiment with which I am in complete agreement!
