I am not a regular insomniac per se, but there are occasions when I do suffer from sleepless nights, especially when I am too much stressed up or too much physically tired. Having a peg or two doesn't work well for me. So how do you cope up with it?

I found while I was going to college a safe herb to take when you need to rest, Valerian Root...inexpensive at Walmart or GNC when on sale. I would study and drink coffee till midnight. But I needed to sleep, so I could be in time for my morning classes. So I did some research, and found Valerian Root. When I get anxious or worried and I'm awake long after I went to bed I reach for the Valerian Root and in about half an hour I got to sleep. I also, repeat. to myself on those occasionally hard to fall asleep nights, I'm cared for, I'm loved, go to rem 4 sleep...over and over again and I fall asleep...it works for me.

I listen to relaxing music when I can't sleep.
