Plus-Size Representation

I am a black, plus-sized student. I know that this is probably said over and over again, but I believe there isn't enough representation for plus-sized women in the media. There has been some movement towards the inclusion of more races, ethnicities, and body types; but I don't feel that it is enough. There is still more work to be done about this... Any thoughts?

I agree. And larger people should not be stereotyped as jovial, less beautiful, or whatever.

@xander6464 I agree. This is somewhat a target of my humanities research at school.

@xander6464 But why are they there in the first place? Did some of them have truth to them some time ago?

Basically, I don't get why we need to be put on a weighing scale before we need to go to media. As long as you fit the job, I'd say your worth it.

The physical representation of a person does not have to be a means for deciding what a person is. The personality of that person is what matters. I like people who love themselves and know their worth no matter how they look or the perspectives that people have towards them.
