An off duty deputy arrests a would be thief at a Sprint store in Redlands

I am sure you remember the song that was sung by the late Sammy Davis Junior called "Eye On The Sparrow" which was the theme song for the television show "Baretta" that starred Robert Blake. A would be thief at a Redlands Sprint store was making an attempt to steal a iPhone XS Max by running away from the store before the off duty deputy whose name was not released who was at the store buying a new iPhone before the deputy chased the suspect into the parking lot where the 28 year old male and a 25 year old lady was also arrested on an outstanding warrant. The employees at the Sprint store thought the deputy was a Good Samaritan trying to prevent a robbery until they saw his handcuffs and gun.
