god these commercials lately..
i'm assuming my generation is making a lot of the commercials, and putting in what they like..
..or the copyrights have come up on a few..
but what gets me is,a lot of the ones they pick make no sense with the product.
they're using the stones' "like a rainbow" for a car commercial.
wouldn't that be better for skittles or something?
random beatles songs for different things..
but the one that really got me was a credit card commercial using a prince song.
the man would be livid..
things like this are why you need a will, people.
so your family won't be selling your stuff for metamucil or something..

it must make the composers cringe to hear their songs used for crass commercialism

@scarlet_woman It's not just the Stones making money but an entire support unit from managers to those running the website. The Stones are a corporation like any other and the object is to make money.

i noticed that trend also. and some you get really tired of hearing because they messed up a real great song. some as you say don't even make sense.

I just saw the song Lovefool by Cardigans basterdised by a noodles commercial and they the young millennials will thing the commercial jingle version is the original.
