Happy Wednesday everyone. Hope all is going well. I had a 25% off coupon to one of our major chain thrift stores so I went yesterday morning despite being sleep deprived and picked up a good haul of 6 books! I love shopping at goodwill for books because you truly never know what they will have and paperbacks are $1.49 and hardcovers $1.99. You don’t beat that price at thrift stores around here. Here are the titles of the 6 I found: -Ruthless -After the Rain -Population: 485 - Michael Perry -Stick Figure - Lori Gottlieb -The Great Gatsby - F Scott Fitzgerald (have been meaning to read this for years) -Kaffir Boy Have you read any of these titles? What are you reading these days?

@maezee that's surprising. It was required in high school for us.

I've read The Great Gatsby three times! Not voluntarily, though. First I read it out of personal interest. Then it was chosen as obligatory reading matter for the final exam in English at our secondary grammar schools (comparable to your junior college). I taught two classes one after the other. It's certainly a novel worth reading. Yet, when I had marked the last paper (I had to mark over fifty all in all!), I let out a liberating scream which shook the walls. :-)

@maezee I am happy for you. I worked at a Thrift Shop and people brought books in for us to sell too,. The Great Gatsby is the only one I recognized.

I have read parts of the Great Gatsby..not sure I read the whole thing though. I just really try not to add physical books to my collection because I have too many.

The great Gatsby is the only one of your six. I use the library, I listen to books on CD while I paint. The two below are the ones I have here now. I'm reading (listening too) the Magpie Murders.
