My Fiance's Ex Wife Is a piece of work

I am beyond upset. My fiance just switched jobs. He told his ex about a month ahead of time in case child support got held up. She said it was okay and that she was glad he gave her a heads up. We researched and found out that his new employer has 14 days to report new workers to the state. So we are just waiting on the state to push it through. Anyway, now the ex is accusing Larry of purposely getting this stuck in limbo (this is the same woman that told him he was horrible for getting the baby stuck in my fallopian tube.. Because you know.. He could control that ??????..) So guess what her next course of action was... To tell the kids (9-year-old and 6-year-old) that Larry is choosing not to pay child support because he hates paying for them and have the son call Larry crying about it. The thing is, she only started complaining last week and he hasn't had the time off work to go in yet to talk to someone at the state. He has told her everything he knows. There is no way to talk to a live person unless he goes down there and again, he hasn't had a day off that they are open. Every time it is late, she thinks Larry did something to make that happen. He doesn't do anything other than making the money. He doesn't even pay attention to what comes out of his check, which is why he didn't realize it wasn't coming out until she said something last week. He also still has to get the information to view his checks online. Like he just stared there. He is planning on going tomorrow because his schedule finally allows him to do so. I am just really upset that she dragged the kids into it.

I hate when people drag their children into situations like that, the kids have no place in any of that. I don't think the government in any state stays up on Child support issues, my son will stop paying for his daughter on Nov. 1st and has been working on stopping the garnishments but they tell him it will take a few mths after that to stop it so she gets paid for those months. Amazing how little they care about the parents who are paying and not doing anything about the ones who don't. I hope he gets it all worked out

Luckily, a few days after I posted this, the money started coming out and she apologized for being so hurtful.

@star_disgate Thats good but her words will never be unheard. She should know that the courts take about 60 days to restart garnishments on paychecks, she shouldn't have been so hasty to accuse.

I agree - that does sound bad. Unfortunately, there are many men who will pull every trick in the book to avoid paying child maintenance, and she have suspected that your Larry was one of these.
