Do any of you know any head lice cures and do any of you know any preventative treatments? I'd appreciate any help at all, thank you.

the only cure I know of is the medicines you have to buy, and you also know you have to bag up any bedding & towels that was used by the person who has lice for 30 days right?

No, I didn't know that, thank you. I've changed all the bedding though and I'm going to wash it all as well.

Try using mayonnaise or olive oil on the hair for 15 minutes with a shower cap covering it,and then comb out, then wash the hair with Dawn dish washing liquid. You might have to do this several times but it beats the price of over the counter products.

Interesting solution, thank you. I can see how that would work, I think we'd better not go anywhere for an hour or so though, I think we might smell funny.

There's a new thing, but I can't remember the name, I saw an advert, it supposedly cures and prevents lice, maybe they sell it in Boots, I do know two ways, but that's not washing your hair or cutting it all off.

Head lice don't like tea tree or lavender so use a shampoo or conditioner with these in. You should also try using conditioner once a week as this makes the hair too smooth for the eggs to cling to. Best to ask a chemist for the best stuff to get rid of them as they can become immune to some remedies.

The thing for the bug is a robi comb but you still have pick out the nits. Use shampoo with Tea Tree in it once the head is clean
