The current trend of suicide among teenagers- A worrying issue!

Hi mylotters. Since few days almost everyday I read in newspapers some teenage kid commiting suicide because of exam stress or teacher has scolded them and what not. It has become so important for parents nowadays to always be with children supporting them and having one on one interaction with them as friends and not as parents. The teenagers are under a lot of pressure nowadays due to cut throat competition and peer pressure. They need to be heard and understood by their parents from time to time. When the teenage kids are under any sort of pressure they need counseling from other experts or from their own parents as well. Due to this fast paced life, I have observed that many a times parents are not even aware what's going in their kids life. Due to this sort of detachment being one of the issue leads to this kids taking such a drastic step of killing themselves. There is also a need to mentally give them so much confidence and help in building their strengths so that they don't take such drastic steps instead face the situation or a problem.
