Nepotism is based on favour granted to relatives in various fields, including business, politics, entertainment, sports, religion and other activities. The term originated with the assignment of nephews to important positions by Catholic popes and bishops. Trading parliamentary employment for favors is a modern-day example of nepotism. Criticism of nepotism, however, can be found in ancient Indian texts such as the Kural literature. **Wikipedia**
I choose this word after reading an article @ Refinery29.... https://tinyurl.com/ydxfjkk4 about Trumps daughter Ivanka perhaps becoming the next UN ambassador. Personally, I don't think it such a bad idea. I think she has demonstrated a true interest in peoples well being, woman and children included. Although, without a doubt, if nepotism wasn't in play here it's highly unlikely she would have ever found herself in this position. Any thoughts? Thanks y'all!

President John F. Kennedy appointed his brother Robert as Attorney General despite his having zero experience.

@xander6464 He was far less experienced than others who could have had the position. Except his "hairness," no other Trumper holds that kind of lofty position.

We can respectfully disagree on this.

@xander6464 _The more important question is did RFK do a good job as AG? There may have been others more qualified but having a good working relationship with the president is important too. I think JFK took that more into consideration.
