My kid Likes Hayao Miyazki movies and Sailor Moon, Cardcaptors, Pokemon, Digimon, Masion Akiku(?) and a few others.

* bhchy1 I think that what you mean by "Masion Akiku" is Maison Ikkoku. I have that anime on "wishlist" but I've never seen it. * In anime I prefer series that have a lot of action, comedy and martial arts such as Naruto, Fullmetal Alchemist, Hellsing and others. BECK hasn't lots of action but I've liked it too. I've never seen Bleach (only episode 1) but I think it's a great series too.

Anime is Japanese animation, including but not limited to drawing (sometimes cel-shading is used too). It is somewhat similar to cartoons,but is essentially different in essence.

I personally prefer the 'mecha' genre of anime, like the Gundam series and Martian Successor Nadesico. Of which I like Gundam Seed(and Destiny) and Nadesico. Gundam Wing (and Endless Waltz) was nice too. I have also seen several of other genres broadcasted on my local televsion. Get Backers was quite nice. Witchhunter Robin was a tad too dark for me, with all the killing going around. I didn't quite get the Count of Monte Cristo(Gankutsuo or something)

Another mecha was Vision of Escaflowne.. though it was very very serious most of the time and had a weird kind of ending (imho :P).

anyone else seen "Elfin Lied" its very cool, it has a dark and scary storyline and with lots of gore throne in for good measure

Anime is a style of animation usually coming from Japan. Examples are Yugioh, Naruto, and Sailor Moon.

yeah, right, samurai x.. i also love that anime ^_^ that's one of my favorites but my most favorite anime is tactics because it is full of mysteries, horror and sometimes comedy, hehe...^_^

I've not seen a lot of animes, but my favorites until now are FullMetal Alchemist and Golden Boy, the first because of its story and the second because it's one of the most hilarious animes I've ever seen

I am not certain that I have an all-time favorite anime. I love so many of them! One of my favorites is One Piece. I love Zoro and Sanji! ^_^ I made a few One Piece AMV's in my time. Check out animemusicvideos.org if you don't know what an AMV is! ^_^ My username on there is the same as here - shywolf. I would be honored if you would check out my AMV's! ^_^ Another anime that I really loved was Fruits Basket. I can't think of some of the others that I've watched.. I was so into anime like 2-3 years ago. I've really not watched as much of it recently. But I am still really fond of it! ^_^
