I just ate a sweet potato

Hello my friends. Today I tried for the first time ever (probably) a sweet potato and I liked it.
Tomorrow I shall buy a few more to cook them on other occasions too. Perhaps the people that consume the most amount of sweet potatoes are USA people considering that this is where its origins are.
Have you ever tried sweet potatoes? Do you like them? How do you cook them?

I love to bake a sweet potato and eat it with a small amount of butter and some cinnamon. It is quite delicious this way. Actually, I need to eat more sweet potatoes. You've helped give me an idea for what I want to cook tomorrow.

Thanks for the tip for adding cinnamon. It can bring good aroma and improve the taste :-)

@Cristi_Ichim I hope you enjoy eating more sweet potatoes in the future! Sweet Potatoes aren't everyone's favorite, but I happen to love them. Plus they are part of an approved list of foods I need to be eating to keep my health up.

@Cristi_Ichim They are around $2 per pound here. So for a decent size one you will pay $6 where as a 5lb bag of regular potatoes is around $3.

we just boil them. they can be eaten dipping in sugar or adding condensed milk

I think it is better to just place them inside the oven instead of boiling them.

Sweet potatoes are staple food from Asia but though it's not highly appreciated in that part of the word.I love sweet potatoes,it's even more nutritious and tasty than potatoes.There are different varieties of sweet potatoes,with varying colors, white, yellow and purple ones.

I love eating sweet potatoes. They are healthy! I usually just boil then peel it and add some stevia sugar. It decreases the risk of diabetes, heart disease, etc
